August Bible Study Series | Part 1: " Our Good and His Glory" by Tony Evans | Day 1: The Sovereignty of God

Good Afternoon & Happy #MondayMeditation!

It's that day sister sojourners...our first study if the month starts! Today's reading is on the Sovereignty of God.

Have you considered the Sovereignty of God lately and how that plays into your everyday encounters and experiences?

What does the phrase , " the Sovereignty of God even mean? It archaic sounding, isn't it?

On the other hand in our century, it's become a catch phrase of sorts on many tongues, that is tossed around often to indicate the level on one's understanding of the Holy or a sign of deep piety.

However, at the core being, I truly wonder if we really understood the meaning and its implications, how would we live differently? How would we worry less, stop our striving and need for control if we truly believed the God is Sovereign.

SIMPLY - "the Sovereignty of God" means , "GOD IS IN CONTROL".

But, do we really believe and trust God is in control of all he's created, and that by his great power and word HE sustains it all?

Let's take the next couple of day to mediate upon the richness of these spiritual pearls of wisdom.

Here are a 2 of my favorite vv. to help think more and pray for more faith and trust in the Sovereignty of God.

God is above all things and before all things. He is the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end. He is immortal, and He is present everywhere so that everyone can know Him (Revelation 21:6).

God created all things and holds all things together, both in heaven and on earth, both visible and invisible (Colossians 1:16).
