W.I.F.E Ministries Lent 2021 | Praying for the Refreshing Fires of Revival

LENTEN SEASON 2021 | ALL TOGETHER GOSPEL FRIENDS

Do you know that the heartbeat and the success of your prayer life are directly linked to the quality time you are spending in a private conversation (prayer) with the Lord?  One of our sojourner sisters remarked the following in our group devotional - Prayer, by Tim Keller, " little prayer, little power. No prayer, no power." I'd like to add that little or no prayer in our private prayer-life results in no power in private or public ministry.

During this lent season, we are encouraging each other to reconsider our private closets again, again and again.

Consider spending more quality time in prayer at home or your secret quiet place where the audience is the Lord of Host. Consider returning to the basics of prayer  ADORATION, CONFESSION, THANKSGIVING, and SUPPLICATION. Consider giving the one who is worthy of all the praise our attention, and worship.  Consider focusing on the pleasure HE receives from your joyful, humble, and faithful posture before him in your private prayers.   Beloved, what we are on our knees in secret before the Lord is really who we are and nothing more in the words of English Theologian John Owens.

This has been a rich journey with these disciplines that I fall short at times, but we serve a gracious God that listens and encourages us to keep striving to get to know Him better so that we will delight in his presence and Glorify him not ourselves. Because apart from him we are nothing.
