Devotional Recommendation | Entrust your Life's Plan to the Lord
Did you know that some social research shows that most people ABANDON their New Year's Resolutions in 36 days?
So that would mean by February 5 or 6 many will probably lose interest or decide these plans are unattainable. Consider Perhaps this, perhaps you just don't have the right foundation to carry out the steps to meet those goals.
As Christians, I believe we too fall prey to the trends, gimmicks, and propaganda hype of the New Year hopes. We declare big goals with unclear small steps and milestones to mark the passage of achievement or alternatives to bolster our wobbling.
Don't get me wrong, designing a vision board or charting plans for the New Year to live better, be healthier, study the Bible and pray more are NOT at questionable things or unworthy goals; however, your plans, hopes, and visions must be anchored --for the Christian-- on a solid foundation of truth - "Christ is in me and I am him, so I live to fulfill His purposes and plans". In doing so, I reap the joys and pleasures of being in alignment with God; hence, the birthing and blooming of my Passion and Purpose.
So, if this year you once again find yourself thinking or becoming flustered about, "What's my Passion and /or Purpose ", start here. STUDY: PASSION & PURPOSE | Dr. Charles Stanley
