Advent Wreath with Greenery/Candles Set
DEVOTIONALS:

Over the years, with an expanding family of children varying in ages, finding the appropriate material that kept the adults on track and littles engaged was pretty dicey. So we had a collage of materials, from puzzles that depicted the Nativity scene, Fill -in activity sheets to Advent Calendars and Online Devotionals. We cut and pasted the good, better and best of what was available in stores and online. (Keep in mind we've been practicing Advent for over 14 years), so there is so much more available now, especially via the internet (online).

GOSPEL-CENTERED FOCUS

Nonetheless, as our children got older our commitment was to consistently teach and model a real and sober Gospel; that is, we gave them the same material that both Edgar and I were meditating on.... in small bite-size chunks of course. So rather than searching for "children friendly" material, we focused on Gospel rich material that sprinkled and watered all our hearts to grow in love and deep affection for the gift Christ is to us.
So, my recommendation is, always focus on Gospel-centered, Christ rich devotionals and materials, you can always break that down into age-appropriate bite-sized nuggets based on the age of the child (ren) and inconsideration to their attention span and the time you have to spend together.

We have used  121 Advent for 2 years and have found it simple, but Gospel-centered. It has been helpful to tie all our tech-savvy grown and flown children to the content our pre-teen and High schoolers are interacting with as a family. They can log in, do their weekday readings, and be prepared for our Sunday evening family gathering.

I am always reading and researching ways to improve my practice and eliminate familiarity. So, I have some go-to website (trusted), where I can see and hear what others are finding useful and helpful in their practice of Advent and preparing hearts for Christmas.
