Here's a Thought- BE Thankful
It's Tuesday, so I'll cap off my day with a driven intention and committed sense to be thankful.
My day started with the responsibility of reporting to Jury Duty, and as I walked into the facility where at first entry there are metal detectors and officers scanning your bags and apparel, a wave of thankfulness came over me. Thankful for my freedoms and a sense of thankfulness that I was only going into the frightful system to do my civic duty, and not entering to be judged or assessed fines.
As I moved to my designated location, among the many others in this particular building, I could not help but to acknowledge the mood of this environment. There is no joy here, all faces are pensive and looking unsure. There is even a subtle yet obvious tone of fear and associative accusation, that is, almost to say since you're in the building you might have done something wrong.
Now at my destination, the initial wave of thankfulness intensified, because I was immediately grateful that "I HAVE A RIGHTEOUS JUDGE"...once I stood condemned and guilty of crimes and My RIGHTEOUS JUDGE... God, in one ransoming act, prosecuted, judged and pardoned me from my wretchedness. At this point, I felt the need to pray that all those on the wrong side, misunderstood side of the law, would find a righteous judge.
Though you may be guilty indeed of alleged crimes, knowing God, the righteous judge frees you from within. Though the gavel in the physical may hammer your sentence, there is a sweet song of redemption being sung by a witness of angels at your divine pardon. Though 12 jurors of your peers may be called help to decide your fate; a multitude of saints are assembled to cheer you on in faith.
Today, I am thankful for My "RIGHTEOUS JUDGE", God Almighty! No matter what I have done, I am thankful there is GRACE that is ever bounding. In cases where I have to deal with the consequences of my faults, the same GRACE is also sufficient to keep and sustain me.
I pray, that when our hour comes to answer for what we have done, we stand before the Righteous Judge, God Almighty and Our Advocate, Jesus Christ. Only through knowing God, will we be pardoned and set free.
