“The heavens declare the glory of God,

And the firmament shows His handiwork,

Day unto day utters speech,

Night unto night reveals knowledge.” Psalm 19.1, 2

Living in the Psalms and Hymns -12 wks of Praise ad Worship

During the next few weeks we will be personally read through the Psalms as lead by the holy spirit, mediating on them and prayerfully they will redirect our gaze to focus on worshipping Christ, and not the crisis that come into our lives.

God is always at work in our lives, even when we cannot trace his hand. By faith we stand on his word where he promises to never leave or forsake us. As we wait in faith for God's will to manifest in our lives we can delight in his goodness and his righteousness, his love, his care and his faithfulness.

Let us look tot he Psalms and Hymns and find true grit to stand in the face of adversity! For God is our refuge! It' time to shift our paradigm to victory, and security in Chrst. The tempest may rage, but God is a deliverer, a Savior, a strong tower, our rock and salvation.
 Psalm 46

For the director of music. Of the Sons of Korah. According to alamoth. A song.

1 God is our refuge and strength,

an ever-present help in trouble.

2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way

and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,

3 though its waters roar and foam

and the mountains quake with their surging.

4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,

the holy place where the Most High dwells.

5 God is within her, she will not fall;

God will help her at break of day.

6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;

he lifts his voice, the earth melts.

7 The LORD Almighty is with us;

the God of Jacob is our fortress.

8 Come and see what the LORD has done,

the desolations he has brought on the earth.

9 He makes wars cease

to the ends of the earth.

He breaks the bow and shatters the spear;

he burns the shields[d] with fire.

10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;

I will be exalted among the nations,

I will be exalted in the earth.”

11 The LORD Almighty is with us;

the God of Jacob is our fortress.

One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.
-Psalm 27:4

I read this verse last week and I began to think of how strong a statement it is to say that I only desire one thing of the Lord. It helped me to put my prayer requests in perspective.... It has help me to keep my life in perspective this week. :-) kbg
