Seeking Him: Lsn 6:HOLINESS, A HEART LIKE HIS

The word holy means to be "set apart". Personal holiness means to be separated from sin and consecrated to God for His purposes and His use.

According to 1 Peter 1:13-16, How are we the church live now and prepare for our heavenly inheritance?

As you answer the above question keep this KEY POINT in mind: The Lord Jesus gave His life to make us a pure bride.

According to 1 Peter 1:13-16, we are to be holy in all our conduct (v. 15). That's not a suggestion. He is calling us to live it by the power of His Holy Spirit!

I like the picture of the church as "the bride getting ready for the wedding" as described in Day 2. We are preparing to meet Christ by becoming holy. God has already made us positionally holy. Our lifestyles should reflect the fruit of our position in Him, our personal (practical) holiness. Amen! :-) kbg

I am a little behind you guys in this but I was really laid bare today as I was reading about the pharisees and their outward appearances. I was very convicted about the comment on Mark 5:25. full of greed and self indulgence. Is there many in America who are not full of greed and self indulgence? Forgive me Lord forgive us and change us to walk in humility and gratefulness. How am I storing up for my heavenly inheritance? Help me to be in this mindset as I prepare myself and let God make me the pure and spotless bride to meet my Lord in the end.
