Seeking Him Lsn 4: Repentance, THE BIG TURN AROUND

Paragraph 4, pg. 64: "Every child of God which is seeking after him with a whole heart must realize that repentance is not an option, but a requirement. God says, "Return to me, and I will return to you." ---Malachi 3:7

THE ACT OF RETURNING TO THE LORD-forsaking known sin and obeying what HE says ----is repentance.

At this point in our study (Lsn 1, 2,3), are you being convicted of a need for repentance in areas you have buried?  There can be a misleading thought, that states, "I've repented of that already", or " I'm good!"

Using 1 John 1:5-9 as our guide, how is God's light really shining and exposing the root of  sin?

How are you answering the "CALL TO REPENTANCE"?

Do you remember the section on Day 4 which describes what a repenter looks like?

A repenter...
- renews his mind with truth from Scripture consistently
- responds to God immediately
- obeys God completely
- follows God personally
- accepts God's discipline faithfully

Revival requires repentance and I am yet being revived. :-) kbg
