Why Can't We Touch and Agree?
The bible says we are to pray without ceasing. As a matter of fact, the Bible goes on to encourage us to make all our concerns known to God, through prayer. God wants to hear from us, and in addition to hearing from us, he wants us to be in agreement as we pray. He tells us, that where there are two or more gathered in his name he;d be in the midst. What an awesome promise! So why then aren't we coming together more to agree in Jesus' Name for all that concerns us and the body of Christ at large? Why aren't we touching and agreeing more frequently with one another.
There is a missing/lacking boldness to approach the throne of grace, seeking to first marvel at the wonders of our Lord, and therefore lay there knowing he will relieve us of our stress and worry. There seems to be a contentment mith mediocre levels of interaction with the Lord (hit and miss encounters).
God has secured our entrance and access to the Throne, through the sacrifice of one name Jesus. We have no reason not to be running to the Throne, thanking, praising, declaring, manifying, exalting the Name of Jesus. The one who secured your pardon. We have power to do the master's business in the earth realm, we have even more power when we touch and agree!
Let us turn from our excuses and get to prayer. The question or assertion may arise, "It doesn't take all that", well it does. Listen, I know you pray at church, as a matter of fact you get up early every morning and pray. Even still you are talking to the Lord all throughout the day....NEWFLASH, it's still not enough, PRAY WITHOUT CEASING. Keep one another before the Lord!.
Saints, beloved children of God, prayer is not a wnat, it is a need! We need it like we need food, water, air and shelter. Prayer is all 4 survival needs which are linked directly to God. Do you hunger and thirst, is your soul dry and parched, do you feel lonliness and dispair, are you sick and suffering, the come boldly to the throne, knock on heaven's door, cry out a wailing moan and tell God, "It's me O'Lord, standing in the need of prayer"
