ARE YOU A SWEETHEART or A REAL TART?

I am excited about setting it out for my kids and hubby this weekend. I use Valentine's as a 2nd Christmas y'all. It maybe a little sappy, but WE TAKE TOO MUCH FOR GRANTED!
Better yet, grow up in love! Over the last 15 plus years, I have had to learn the true meaning of Love...and still learning. It is a letting go of this idea that love is having it go my way, or a path paved with ultimatums and conditions (Well if you behave a certain way, then I'll do this or reciprocate in this manner). Who the heck taught us these jacked up definitions of love and loving. We often approach each other with a choke hold grip of love, which stifles the very air love needs to live and grow.

I'm not just talking about romantic love, but platonic love suffers the same dreary death.

One day we look around & it's too late! That's when we come crying about how much we love folk or how much we've been love. What's up with that? TELL your people or person YOU LOVE THEM everyday & dog gone it....MEAN IT. Fight pass all the junk & love or allow yourself to be loved.

Christ cautions us," you will/ cannot experience real love, until we love one another as we love ourselves, and as we love one another we do so as HE has first loved us."
No, this is not the most celebrated idea, but it is a compelling challenge that will elevates your state of being-quality of life.

THE RECIPE FOR LOVE

1 Corinthians 13
If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears.

When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.

For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

So, are you a sweetheart or a real tart? :-)
