Little me, BIG GOD....I have been called to serve my children

A new school year is here, the scent of summer is slowly fading as reddish yellow, orange red, brown leaves make the bold arrival of fall. In the corners of our mind and hearts we are trying so hard not to loose the idea of the leisurely nature of summer;however our reality heralds us to participate in the organization of books, pens and pencils, orderly classrooms and prayerfully attentive young minds.
Alas! We have been called back to our roles as the primary teachers or life coaches of our children, and what a wonderful opportunity it is for us to have answered that call. For he who has called us is faithful to provide all the physical, economical, psychological, spiritual resources needed to complete of delegated assignment as we serve our precious ones. What does this service entail or defined as, well it is ranged from the everyday basics as cooking, and laundry to the other end of the spectrum of caring for the many heart issues our children will have to encounter. When we look at the list that beckons us to serving our children...wow, it can be tempting to want to flea at the overwhelming prospects and the vision set before us.

Take heart mom!
The Lord is able to be our exceeding and abundant source of strength, love and support. We have such a unique charge in caring for the next great scholars (preachers, teachers, doctors, lawyers, wives, husbands, leaders) of the future. How faithful of God to continue to trust us with this assignment. When I think of this trust, my heart is overwhelmed, for I cannot claim any special formula, but the Grace and mercy of God. He is the one who equips me to serve my children.
