Do you have a clear conscience towards God and others?

In the last week during my study time I was lead in a deeper evaluation of my conscience. That is, the state of my conscience towards God and others. In my study I realized and was reminded of how important it was for me/Christians to have a clear conscience. In Matthew 25:31-46 and ACT 9 in their summary tells us that "what we do to others or do not do for that matter, we do to Jesus. This reason alone should encourage us to always seek to maintain a clear conscience.

Having a "clear conscience'" means to actively and immediately responding to any issues, offenses or hurt that you may have caused another. In other word you have NO un-confessed sin between you and God or any other person. So many times we have situations that out us at odds with one another; it is going to happen! But how we respond is what is under evaluation by our Heavenly Father.

Could you ask like Samuel in 1Samuel 12:1-4

(1) And Samuel said to all Israel, "Behold, I have obeyed your voice in all that you have said to me and have made a king over you. (2) And now, behold, the king walks before you, and I am old and gray; and behold, my sons are with you. I have walked before you from my youth until this day.

(3) Here I am; testify against me before the LORD and before his anointed. Whose ox have I taken? Or whose donkey have I taken? Or whom have I defrauded? Whom have I oppressed? Or from whose hand have I taken a bribe to blind my eyes with it? Testify against me and I will restore it to you."

(4) They said, "You have not defrauded us or oppressed us or taken anything from any man's hand." (5) And he said to them, "The LORD is witness against you, and his anointed is witness this day, that you have not found anything in my hand." And they said, "He is witness."

Could we be so bold to ask and receive such a stunning display of a man who had a track record of having a 'Clear Conscience"? or would you have accusers? Here are some things that causes us to not have a clear conscience, hurt feelings, a critical spirit, desire for revenge, anger, a grudge, unresolved conflict, bitterness, keeping score, gossip, slander , other_____________
Read Matthew 5:23-24 this scripture really will help us see how God views us when we do not have a clear conscience. As a matter of fact God says that all the other activity we
do (worship, praying, communion, giving etc) is meaningless! His dear Son died for us to be reconciled to HIM and one another and to have a clear conscience before the Lord. (Ephesians 2:12-16)Amen!
