When hunger =Power

When was the last time you fasted? What were you seeking of the Lord while you fasted and prayed? Often we set out to fast and pray for issues in our lives whether it is pending; occurring or tentative; nonetheless when we truly get into a total submissive role to the Lord and really listen to what our Heavenly Father is saying isn't it so powerful how the Lord directs our hearts and motives and we are enlightened as to our next step.

Please share below what the chapter on fasting has reminded you of; challenged you on or encouraged you about.

Hello,

I recently suggested to my sister that we fast one day each week. I'm hoping that our special prayers regarding the urgent needs of her son and my nephew might be completely focused and pleasing to the Lord. The heading - When hunger = Power speaks to my spirit at this time. Glad I visited the site! Joanne Ferrier

We here at CC are so pleased that the Lord would Bless your visit on the Blog with relevant and immediate care to your particular season. Fasting is Power, and no matter what our needs, desires, concerns are when we have fasted the "One Thing" that we most need happens...closeness with God. Initmacy with is a sure way to hear God's heart and fall i line with HIS WILL.
May this time of fasting bring both you and your sister close to the Lord so that the very thing that would minister best on the behalf of your nephew be layed on your heart and in your spirit. Amen! May the Lord be with you and your family.

The last time I fasted was several months ago, for my father's health. God was gracious in allowing us to have him with us much longer than the doctors said we would. We have sinced lost him on Jan. 10 of this year. The blessing for me was that when the Lord took him, I was okay and had peace about it. See, in the time of fasting, the Lord brought me to a point where I accepted that him dying was not really a loss, because he was gaining everlasting life on the other side. Yes, praise the Lord, he was saved. I will see him againg one day. God is something else, I was fasting for my dad, but we both reaped the benefit. Isn't God awesome?!!!!
