What a great time of Prayer and Worship

Rosetta, this was such a rich time we had in the Lord. Due to varied reasons we were the ones called to labor in the spirit last evening and how the Lord met us. I thank you for being led by and obedient to the spirit to speak life into me and the ladies who have attended Community Circle at some point or another.

There was a consistent discussion topic that resounded in our conversation a desire to put God first, making HIM our most valuable "Treasure". How we have de-prioritize the importance of our Lord as King and Sovereign orchestrator of our lives (every detail). We tell ourselves the lie that "I am too busy", our "I'll get to a more meaningful time of devotion with the Lord"; better yet "I'll pray when the kids are asleep" ; "when the house is quiet"; "when the laundry is done" etc... the list become a roll of distractions luring us away from the presence of God.

But there is hope, nothing becomes a a bad habit without negligence or lacking to pay attention or care; well the same for the things we want to categorize as a "good habits/lasting and eternal"; we have to make a conscious decision that no longer will we ignore the call of the master. We will determine to make Christ first, laying aside those things that so easily beset us.

Take away Questions: Looking Forward

What have you allowed to distract and keep you from enjoying the benefits of God's presence?
What steps can you take today to move forward into the direction of a more intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father?
